- Joining Metal Parts: Welders fuse metal pieces together using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick welding).
- Reading Blueprints: Interpreting blueprints and specifications to understand project requirements and welding procedures.
- Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining welding equipment, including gas and electric welding machines, torches, and other tools.

Assembly and Installation:
- Assemble and install mechanical systems and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
- Assemble and install mechanical systems and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
- Fit and assemble metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment.
- Prepare structural metal products for welding and riveting, laying out parts, lining up edges, and fitting parts together.
