Supply Chain & Logistics Manager – Injection Moulding (Packaging Industry)

Job Title: Supply Chain & Logistics Manager

Department- Commercial

Location: Village Dadra – Silvassa – UT of DNH & DD

Position Type: Full time

Working Hours: Generally 9.30 am – 7 pm

Reports To: GM / CM / CEO

Salary Range: 35K – 70K per month

POSITION PURPOSE / ROLE

The Supply Chain / Logistics Manager acts as the central coordinator between sales, production, procurement, and logistics and is the BACK BONE of the operations. The role ensures production activities are aligned with orders received, resources are optimally utilized, and bottlenecks are resolved proactively. It demands strong problem solving skills, analytical thinking, process orientation, and strong communication skills / strong teamwork to maintain workflow efficiency, inventory accuracy, and timely order fulfilment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Production Monitoring, Capacity Planning & Dispatch Coordination

 Monitor daily production output and adjust plans to meet delivery timelines.

 Identify and resolve any bottlenecks in dispatches proactively.

 Support new product launches with capacity planning and resource allocation.

· Procurement & Material Availability

 Work with procurement to secure timely availability of raw materials, packaging components, and moulds.

 Monitor supplier performance and escalate risks to avoid production stoppages.

 Align procurement schedules with production plans to ensure uninterrupted workflow.

Dispatches & Customer Fulfilment

 Ensure all customer orders are dispatched on time, in the correct quantity, and meeting quality standards.

 Coordinate closely with warehouse and dispatch teams to guarantee OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance.

 Track and report dispatch accuracy and customer satisfaction metrics.

· Logistics

 Build and maintain good relationships with logistics and transport companies.

 Monitor daily transport movements and fix any delays or bottlenecks quickly.

 Ensure vehicles are available on time for smooth dispatches.

 Negotiate transport rates and contracts to get timely and cost-efficient delivery.

 Keep track of logistics and transport costs against the budget.

 Highlight cost savings and report any major changes in expenses.

 Maintain clear visibility of transport costs to support accurate planning and decisions.

Cross-Functional Coordination

 Act as the bridge between sales, procurement, production, and logistics to align supply and demand.

 Collaborate with finance to ensure operational data feeds into financial reporting.

 Maintains accurate and timely reporting to senior management to support informed decision-making

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

 Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows

 Experience with injection moulding operations and packaging production cycles is a plus

 Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally)

 Analytical mind-set with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

 Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands

 Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments

 Knowledge of inventory optimization techniques

 Ability to link operational KPIs to financial outcomes

 Strong Team Player 

QUALIFICATIONS

 Graduate in any field.

 Must have worked in manufacturing (injection moulding preferred), logistics, or production planning for at least 5 years.

 Extra certificates in production or inventory planning are a plus.

 Zero production stoppages due to material shortages.

 Logistics cost vs. budget variance.

 Inventory carrying cost reduction and turnover improvement.

 Cost savings achieved through vendor negotiations and efficiency initiatives.

 Working capital optimization through improved supply chain cycles.
