Position - Production In-charge: PP Extrusion M/c Plant
Department - Production / Manufacturing
Reporting To - General Manager / Production & Quality Head
Job Summary - The Production In-charge (PP Extrusion M/c Plant) is responsible for overseeing the complete extrusion production process, ensuring smooth operations, optimum machine utilization, production target achievement, quality compliance, and manpower management. The role involves supervising extrusion activities, minimizing downtime, maintaining production efficiency, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage daily PP extrusion production activities.
Ensure production targets are achieved as per planning schedules.
Monitor machine performance, productivity, and process parameters.
Maintain product quality standards and reduce rejection levels.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Optimize raw material utilization and control wastage.
Maintain production records, shift reports, and downtime analysis.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
Manage and train machine operators and production workers.
Implement process improvements for higher efficiency and cost reduction.
Coordinate with Quality Control, Stores, and Dispatch departments for smooth workflow.
Ensure housekeeping and 5S practices are maintained in the production area.
Monitor manpower allocation and shift management.
Handle production-related issues and provide quick resolutions.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of PP extrusion processes and machinery.
Understanding of production planning and process optimization.
Knowledge of quality standards and troubleshooting techniques.
Leadership and team management abilities.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Familiarity with safety and maintenance practices.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Polymer, Plastic, or Production Engineering.
Relevant technical certification in extrusion processes is an added advantage.
Experience
5+ years of experience in PP extrusion manufacturing.
Experience in handling extrusion machines and production teams.
